Our accredited online Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN) program is designed for current registered nurses looking to advance their career. With classes offered completely online, this program can be completed in as little as 12 months.
* Proof of current, active, unencumbered RN licensure is required to enroll in the first nursing course of this program. Applicants who have an earned associate degree in nursing but are not yet licensed may begin the application process. Galen’s requirements for clinical experiences are similar to those you will encounter in your professional nursing career. All requirements are designed to ensure continuity of patient care, as well as to protect students, healthcare providers, and patients from the manifestation and spread of diseases.

Many Galen students work while attending nursing school. However, if you are attending Galen on a full-time basis, it is best to work a very minimal amount of hours. Our nursing degree programs require a considerable amount of time outside the classroom for reading, studying, assignments, etc. You must be very disciplined with your time to be successful at Galen if you plan to work while attending.
In the evaluation of transfer credit, Galen utilizes TES®, the Transfer Evaluation System from CollegeSource which is the premier interactive database of course data from institutions of higher education to track and display previously approved courses for transfer. The equivalencies shown are for information purposes only and are subject to change due to changes in curriculum. Galen does not transfer in developmental, pre-licensure, or nursing courses taken prior to achieving an RN license.
