TERRY DOUGLAS DNP, RN

Dr. Terry Douglas served in the US Navy Reserve from 1987-1996 and has been a Registered Nurse since 2003. She found her love for education in 2010 when she became a clinical and lab instructor at Niagara County Community College, where she obtained her ADN. She obtained her terminal degree in 2015 when she completed her DNP program with a specialty in Adult-Gerontology from the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Douglas has gained expert knowledge in medical-surgical nursing, critical care, and field medicine, primary care, and hospice along with acute care supervision and hospital administrative roles.

Dr. Douglas relocated to Texas from New York in 2015 and currently resides just outside San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Douglas has served as the Program Director of the VN and ADN Programs for Galen College of Nursing and is currently actively involved in all aspects of the programs. She has taught at both the ADN, BSN, and MSN levels, in theory, lab, and clinical, and participates in BSN and MSN curriculum development. In addition, Dr. Douglas has served as the Director of Communications for the Texas League for Nursing from 2019-2021. She is currently the Dean of the San Antonio and Austin Campuses.
